Today I picked up my 2nd 1911, a Springer GI LW Champ , paid $550 and am extremly happy. I put 200 rnds down range after a quick oiling at the shop with out a single malfunction. I used the stock mag, a Wilson and a kimber. The trigger needs to be replaced with something shorter ( thanks Ron your swill work perfectly) and I will need to change the sights as the GI sights after a while just didn't work to well for me yet the gun still shot pretty much where I wanted. It got better with the higher round count and even my 3 friends who were with me (both brand new shooters) felt good shooting it and it shot tight groups for them.

crappy cell phone pick at the range.

Here is a better Pic of Both Kids..

Looks like a good buy. And you can't beat Springfield's warranty. I just sent a gun back today and they make it hassle free.

I'm impressed. Someone quoted John Lennon lyrics. Oh yeah, I like the pistol too. Congrats.

That trigger looks pretty short already!

Did you mean a trigger job to have less pre-travel, or did you mean an actual shorter trigger?

great looking pistols! You shouldnt have a problem shortening the trigger pull or installing a shorter trigger... learn how to do it yourself and gain knowledge along the way :D

Springfield makes my 1911s of choice as well!
