I picked up an Apache 3800 case from HF with the 40% off coupon recently all in call it $25 and change. I figured at that price I could splurge on some custom foam from cobra. I put it all together and snapped a couple of photos. These are are all 1911 5” Government models and they fit perfectly. Im happy with the investment.

Nice! Something about my OCD wouldn't let me put a gun upright in a case like that 🤣I picked up the 4800 a while back when they were on sale but just got the replacement foam for it from my case builder. Super nice stuff.

Nothing wrong with it and I think it actually looks cool. I've broken so many adjustable rear sights from shooting high round counts, that I don't like to have any downward pressure on them. Idk, maybe I imagine the case upside down and the foam snags the sight while the weight of the pistol shakes against it or something weakening the sight. If it's just a range gun, I don't think it matters. But I've broken more than 1 in a match and lost because of it, or the week before a match while training. So I'm just protective over them ha
