Smaller collection that is more likely to be enjoyed and serve your purposes is always better than a bigger collection.
Sometimes more is just more.

I know it’s probably blasphemy , but I tend to carry the humble Shield Plus or my Glock 19 far more than I carry my higher end options. They’re just more comfortable.

Before you do anything rash send them to me. I will hold onto them and I love them for you for a while and then you will see how you feel without having them without actually having to get rid of them.

 

I'll say it because these guys are just being nice: yes, you've lost your mind! Don't let those beauties go.

 

They are works of art in their own ways. I do love them both. That said, right now they mostly collect dust.

 

I've done this a couple of times over the years. When interests change, sometimes things need to move on. I have no interest personally in an Atlas, but if I did then I would refocus and send the other two down the road...

 

I have enjoyed them both fo sure. And still do. I will be mulling this one over for a while

If you don’t need the funds, you can put your collection in deep storage (Harbor Freight case, cleaned with protective foam) and then take a peek next summer after mainly using your new Atlas.

I hate getting bogged down in life with things. That feeling when the things you own, own you. Im all for letting things go. Like Marie Kondo with guns; thank them for their service and let them go to someone else that will enjoy them as you go on your journey.

Been doing the same. I consolidated calibers about 10 years ago and have decided now to sell things I rarely shoot to put towards something new.

 

I'm in a similar, albeit smaller, boat - selling most/all of my other 2011s, which are lower end, after picking up an Atlas Athena. This gun makes them all redundant, really, and I don't think I'd take them out of the safe with an Athena nearby.

 

Keep both Hawks and save up for the Atlas, or sell one of your cars. You don't need your Ferrari...
