I haven't had exposure to Jon at Highfiguregrips but recently purchased two sets from him. I initially tried to purchase an earlier set but an unnamed individual was quicker than I. Jon kept in touch and in a very timely manner had something similar to what I was looking for. He actually gave me four options and I could not resist two of them.

Shipping and correspondence was great the end result is gorgeous in my humble opinion. Pictures just don't do them justice.

    Thanks Jon

Jon does some beautiful grips. Got another set of red velvet maple burl last week and I am waiting for my Valor from A2G to come in to display them on.

Very nice! Those are part of the inspiration for the set I'm working on with Jon.

I have an order in with Jon myself and can’t wait for them to get here. However I have to mail him some stuff to go in them first haha. Those look gorgeous!

I did business with Jon earlier this year and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome.

While not a wood grip fan for carry, I do love the workmanship that goes into them.

Got these a few days ago. If I were a better photographer you could really see how awesome they look with the light at the proper angle, like a metal flake look in parts of the grain. 6-25 003.jpg

@azguy1911, Good question, what to put them on? In a bit of a pickle. It all started when I showed my wife my 70 Series Colt Government in Electroless Nickel with some real Ivory grips installed. She didn't like the Ivory, I said: but those are real expensive Ivory grips. So the search was on for some Black Burl but with some nice color and pattern. In the mean time I learned the Ed Brown EVO Labyrinth grips could be purchased from EB for the paltry sum of $55 bucks, so you know how that went, click, click, enter, bam in my mail box. I like the Labyrinth grips a lot. I may have just got a plan, Labyrinth goes on the Kimber TLE Pro and the new Box Elder Burl on the old Colt. I have grip swapping to do. In case you missed it here is the Colt and the EB grips. Colt 45 Labyrinth Cocobolo.jpg

Those are very nice revolvers and a lot of fun to fire. I never carried it, but it's shape would lend itself well to that as well.
