I'd like to donate this to someone that will use it or needs it. Maybe somebody with a bad hand, arthritis, etc. I believe in Karma. I picked it up via a trade and don't need it. It looks brand new. Stamped for officer model.

I'll be quite honest, over my years of running a construction business, dealing with dead beat employees, "some were very good" But, a lot of dead beats, thieves, liars etc... and then some of the very rude, obnoxious and narcissistic customers I had, over a 25 year stretch, I had really started loosing all hope, faith and trust in humanity in general. In the last short 9 months I have been a member of this group many of you have really started to help restore my faith in humanity a little Great bunch of guys in here PERIOD~! I'm sure not all are like these few guys, but I have so far been very impressed and encouraged... You all know who you are WTG~!

I don't miss the construction biz at all and you're right about the types.

In my short time here, I've saw nothing but top notch folks who are more than willing to help others out and that has been rare in my experiences. In just my first days here I had met an awesome person who has helped me out Immensely going back and forth in PM.

I'm very thankful that I found this board and I'm glad to be a member here.

Thank you azguy1911, these are perfect!
So this is my first 1911, many years ago I saw this Officer sitting on display at my local Gander Mountain and I just fell in love, not really knowing about 1911s at the time, I probably paid way too much. The story goes that a retired LEO built it and sold it to a guy who in turn sold it to Gander for money put towards a harley, anyway I bought it.

The rear sight began to come loose and I could tell the slide/sight was not cut right. I only live a couple hours from where Alchemy Custom Weaponry was located to I made a trip to visit Rob and Jim. It was a great time and a couple weeks later it was done, new rear sight installed and they test fired it and went through the gun, I had asked if they would trust their life to it and they said yes. While I was shooting the bull with Rob, Jim showed me how he had to modify a bushing wrench to get the Caspian apart, even while I was standing there he took his little die grinder/polisher to the feed ramp, like he couldn't help but improve the gun, even though all I paid for was a rear sight install.
    Truly a day to remember.

The one thing I hated about the gun was the smooth front strap, but could never see putting more money into the gun, I don't like the giant roll mark either.

A couple weeks ago I had to qualify for a gun range and show I could operate safely, I threw the Caspian in my range bag and had forgotten how nice it is, make a great carry gun if I would do something about the front strap, then azguy1911 was kind enough to give these away.

The gun feels great!!!! I can't wait to get back to the range!!

    Thank you very much azguy1911!

And if I ever do decide to have the front strap checkered, i will surely regift these.
