    CALLING ALL ADDICTS
I'm curious if you carry just one 1911 or do you have several that you put in a rotation.

For instance I have 3 that I carry

A 38 super, lightweight commander that does the most hip time. Daily carry 80% of the time.

A 9mm smaller lightweight officers for long days or multi hour road trips.
    15% of the time

And a 45 all steel for short trips into the really bad neighborhoods. 5% of the time, I try to avoid these places.

Of course all of these above are carried with a LCR as my bug.

I'd like to know do you just have one that you carry, like an old friend always by your side or do you have a group of them?

Pics are always appreciated if you care to post.

I've seen so many people use the phrase ("carry rotation") I wanted to know what that meant to you.

My current carry gun is a 45 acp DW Valor customized by Integrity Arms. (I'm sure people are getting tired of me talking about it. But you asked... )

I will likely be adding another into a "carry rotation" but I haven't decided what that will be. I'm thinking either a Les Baer UTC or a vanilla Ed Brown SF. I want to carry a reliable 1911, but I'm not sure that I want to carry something that costs north of $2500.

Having more than one carry gun makes sense to me. If one gun needs to be sent off for maintenance or upgrades, or heaven forbid it gets confiscated, you want to have something else to use in the interim.

Most of the time it is my TRP. Summertime is my SA Compact in .45 under a t-shirt. For wintertime quick trips under a heavy coat is a 9mm light weight commander in a shoulder holster.

I usually carry a WC EDC X9. I also carry a Les Baer Commanche 45ACP or sometimes a WILSON 5” Classic in 45ACP. The G-Lock 21 is the “truck gun”

Three 1911s currently in the mix - all five-inch, steel-frame guns, slightly different flavors of essentially the same thing.

    Often, a S&W 642 in a pocket holster as a BUG.

    For some instances, a Gen4 Glock 26 rather than a 1911.

I like to say "it's not a watch" and you should carry something nearly 100% of the time, well maybe 85%. If you were involved in a shooting and LEO found out you rotated through a half dozen guns it could be a problem compared to something you were thoroughly proficient and skilled with
