I am trying to learn but having terrible time. I cannot find listing that makes sense when search 9mm 1911 magazine pouches. I even thought I had found a Fobus and sent email to see if their offering was 9mm and they responded that they sell nothing for 1911 9mm pouches. SO, can someone help learn where to look or buy A couple singlesor a double??? Thanks

Why does it need to be specific to 9mm? I run my 9mm mags in my leather 45 carriers all the time.

Well I guess that is part of my learning process I have been wondering if all the ones that say 1911 45acp would work ok for 9mm but just couldn’t find anything that would clarify it not needing to be 9mm specific. Just didn’t want buy something and wind up returning them.

They will work. The outside dimensions of the 45 and 9mm mags are the same. Most 9mm mags have a spacer inside, so the 9mm will work. I use the same mag carriers for 9mm, 45, and 38 Superb.

My SS mags 9mm and 45acp both measure .544 x 1.370. I carry both in my leather mag pouches.

I wouldn’t waste the money on Fobus anything.

Yes, so do I. I believe the Wilson ETM’s are of the same dimensions. Maybe the other Wilson variants will work also.

Now, Hard Chrome Magazines will most definitely require a larger pouch (regardless of caliber).

Welcome aboard and yes you use the same mag carrier for 9mm and 45 and even government and compact sizes! I know I just made it more confusing to :careful:
