. . . . that I have never fully detail stripped a series 80 1911. I don't think I have ever gotten past slide / barrel removal, or a mainspring housing swap. I do remember taking out the firing pin to do an extractor tensioning on one of them. I think I only own two.

What do I need to look out for?

    (Yeah, I know, UberTube . . .

I don't have 45 minutes of my life to waste (per video), and 50% of those guys are idjets . . . . Takes one to know one I guess.) . .

Just watch how you take her apart. The two little ser 80 pieces can be a pain and can be put in wrong , ask me how I know. Nothing really hard just do it....

oh you might be doing that on your hands and knees searching for lil pieces anyhow.. :)

I use a dab of grease to hold the arm in place for reassembly.

Remove the series 80s parts inside a bag so you don’t loose them if they launch

I keep a magnet on a stick at my desk to retrieve wayward parts because I hate getting down on my hands and knees to find stuff under my desk . . . . . .

Yea I learned a long time ago that there is no correlation between a youtube vid and the validity of it's contents. Nobody screens that stuff. ;)

I build a backstop using empty ammo boxes. Catchs my thumb safety spring every time.

You need to watch at least 4 to 5 on each subject and then interpolate
