pictures of the finished work
apologies for lack of photography skills
Biting my tongue about the trigger though....
Very nice. I've never seen a trigger like that. What's it called?
VERY nice work!!!!!
no need to bite anything chris
the trigger is my design. it is one of those things i tried without knowing if it would work and it turns out i like it. so that design is now in all my 1911's.
Nice lookin Delta! What's the finish?
If you're posting to soliect opinions here's mine - Trigger looks like *****, how can it be functional ? - the rest is very nice
Dang Dude,.....tell us how you REALLY feel!:bolt:
Well I do believe the Man wants honest opinions why suger coat by saying "well the trigger, blah, blah blah" I think he realizes the trigger is out there but he likes it and that's all that counts...
:rofl2: That's what I thought to. Mythree doesn't hold back for sure. Brutally honest. All my buddies are like that, and at least ya know where they stand.
Ain't nothing wrong with that,..........
finish is kg gunkote. and while i suck at photography i am trying to get better and starting to understand just how hard it is to get accurate photos of a good black finish. none of these pictures look even close to what the finish looks like (not that the finish is done any better than others - it is just not accurate in photos!)
well, when i place my finger on it and apply about 3 1/2 pounds of pressure it causes the hammer to be released. functions pretty good. i have had a few reactions similar to yours and, all kidding aside, i do appreciate your honest reaction. the idea was based on a method to incorporate muscle memory into the tactile response of putting your finger on the trigger. early on, when learning to shoot the 1911 i was never happy with the long triggers and noticed that it was easy to drift finger placement around. when i had my first customs made i asked for this modification and it worked and feels much better than it looks like it would. those who have tried it on my guns have liked the feel but almost everyone else says it is too short.
you are right on the money here
and amen to that!
I would get that trigger design patented, so no one can build that **** again.
3 years and 1 month , not quite a record. But to bash a guy trying his hand at a build? Really?
You're entitled to your opinion
Looks great!!! I wish I have the skills to work on my own guns.
Looks good your photography skills are better than mine. If you like the trigger thats all that matters. Personally I don't as long as you do.
I like the trigger myself...
Looks like very nice work!
Does it have an extra ball cut up front?
I was going to mention that!! I see some fench border style ghost ball cut lines. I have never seen that before and I think they look very unique and cool!
