Instant Collector

    I just inherited my first 1911 from my grandfather. Considering the source, the history of the gun, and the gun itself- I have become an instant collector.

    Google told me a lot about this gun, but I would love the opinion of some enthusiasts.

    The difference is, Grandkid's Grandpa's Gun is a real pistol.

    Yup. And if I were to put it in a shadow box, it would have his dates of service, his medals, his ribbons, his collar devices, and his dog tags. Not some generic military insignias. (Even though both mine and grandfather's insignias are in that one)

    One Keyes grip (correct) and one Colt grip (incorrect). Hammer is wrong type.
