Damn Steve! That Valor turned out AMAZING! The rear slide serrations look flawless. Great job Bud!
. All that, and it is beautiful to!
Wowzers, great work Steve!
Is it my turn yet?!?!
This one left me speechless! SWEET!
Well I was running down the road trying to loosen my load and Bam two flat tires on the trailer LOL sitting in here in the air conditioning after removing the tires waiting for Walmart supercenter and Automotive to open up all other shops are closed. 86° outside feels like 95 heat index is off the charts.
Anyway 30 cars and trucks pass me no offer of help, which I didn't really expect anyway when along comes a guy who has a tire machine at his house and takes the two Wheels to put tires on. Says he even has two decent 15" tires that should work.. So I'm sitting here in the AC waiting on him to come back. If this guy has a 1911 or any other pistol aside from paying him for his time, tires, and gas he's gonna have some free custom work coming. At the very least a nice set of sights..
I grew up back there, and there's no way I could take the humidity any more. Our monsoon season is starting and the humidity here is almost 50% and I'm dying...
funny how (depending on where we live)we see things weather wise. The southern tier laughs at us up north because we cannot handle their kind of heat and humidity. and we snicker when they try to drive in 1 inch of powdered snow.
humidity is a bear as we get older. we are getting smoked in Ct with 65-85% daily--why did I shower again?
I feel your pain...it's going to be a brutal summer down south
Spent some time in Pensacola back in a previous life, and I (vaguely) remember 100 degree days with 100 percent humidity. Kinda like SE Asia, where during the rainy season we'd take a shower and just get dressed without toweling off. Ugh...
Too busy pulling off tires trying to keep the sweat out of my face to take pictures LOL I'll take a picture of what's left of my front tire when I'm done LOL what's left of the front one that's for sure a blew completely out
Well must of been the day for blowouts. Brake line in the way back home it it's the power booster and it master cylinder either way need to call the shop Monday and make an appointment very expensive and exhausting day..
Jeez Steve, rough day. Brakes on your truck or the trailer? Either way I hope it isn't too spendy. I'd offer to help but the job would be done long before I got there. Happy Independence Day!
Truck, tires were on the trailer lol. Just was happy I was able to limp it home.
That doesn't get a like. Bummer.
Needed to change out the rear sight in the newest Valor job yesterday, for a HD U/notch. Still lined up quite well and much tighter fit.
^^^ Gotta say it again, that rear slide serrating is PERFECT!
I have Sardistel and I totally understand your pain. Hopefully out electricity provider is about to start providing Internet also. It’s supposed to be in the works.
New Rotary table and cross slide table unboxed today. Maybe a little over kill, hmmm but maybe not. The options are endless. BTW this is just one of the reasons doing this work isn't cheap. It does take a lot of investment of both time and money..
I can remember thinking some of my new tools might be overkill. Never proved out. Now 100% of the tools suspected of underkill abdsolutely were.
