I could rack that slide and frame all day. It’s like a light switch. Click. Click. Click.Serrated rear of slide. Both the Razorback and the A2 ate ready for all the internals tomorrow then off for accuracy testing.. These always look a little rough before blasting. One at 40 lpi, the other at 50.. Well I should of known I couldn't take the rest of the night off with all that work staring at me. So, I reassembled the other 5 guns and hand cycled everything. So far no hiccups there which is good news. The other reason I wanted to get that part done was tomorrow I get to shoot some 45, .38 super and some 9x23...
I am looking forward to the 38 super and 9x23.. The 9x23 was a former 9mm nighthawk Kestrel, should be an $hit load of fun.. And the .38 super was a 9mm Volkmann, so looking forward to that as well. What a classy pistol btw, he does some tremendous work for sure, was very impressed, showed me a thing or two I need to pay more attention to...
Anyway work tomorrow should actually be fun for at least 1/2 of the day.. Then it's tear everything back down and clean. And really hone in on polishing up the full builds doing a few tweaks and tunes after test firing them today, was a few things I want to make better.. Maybe I will actually hit the blast cabinets by Sunday, if not Monday will still put me where I'd like to be..
It can seem a bit overwhelming at times, not necessarily the work load as much as being worried about missing something, or finding late minute issues that might of got overlooked in the interim. But, this is handled by not rushing things and giving each piece its undivided attention. Funny you just posted yours is the first up for test fire today lol. Just actually loaded it up and was headed outside really glad the weather is cooperating.. I'll touch base with ya this evening..Early on I started a business from my home. Shoestring budget and did what I had to do. The work would whisper in my ear after dinner. I feel ya buddy.
Everyone of my guns needs this!Recently had my crown tools re-sharpened guy dine an excellent job and really reasonable as well. This is before lapping and polishing no chatter whatsoever. Couldn't ask for better. But, is a bit time consuming by hand.. View attachment 563651
