Not going to batch 8 at one time anymore 4 maybe 5 max.. I have at least 4 this next round and I'm going to do my best to leave it that way lol. I still after test fire have to prep and polish.. and get off for finish. So I still have another 5-6 days of work first. Then I'm taking one whole day off. Gonna lock myself outta the shop lol..

Was just telling another addict, that after I test fire these other guns which need assembled, I then have to tear everything down and clean do final small prep and clean, then bead blast and clean then take to finish. Then 5-10 days at finish, them clean and reassemble, pit all the sights on, take photos and get wrapped up for shipping. And here I thought I was almost done lmbo..

Well I should of known I couldn't take the rest of the night off with all that work staring at me. So, I reassembled the other 5 guns and hand cycled everything. So far no hiccups there which is good news. The other reason I wanted to get that part done was tomorrow I get to shoot some 45, .38 super and some 9x23...

I am looking forward to the 38 super and 9x23.. The 9x23 was a former 9mm nighthawk Kestrel, should be an $hit load of fun.. And the .38 super was a 9mm Volkmann, so looking forward to that as well. What a classy pistol btw, he does some tremendous work for sure, was very impressed, showed me a thing or two I need to pay more attention to...

Anyway work tomorrow should actually be fun for at least 1/2 of the day.. Then it's tear everything back down and clean. And really hone in on polishing up the full builds doing a few tweaks and tunes after test firing them today, was a few things I want to make better.. Maybe I will actually hit the blast cabinets by Sunday, if not Monday will still put me where I'd like to be..

When you’re good you’re good buddy sorry haha. Jealous of the job and getting to build and shoot guns won’t lie.

Early on I started a business from my home. Shoestring budget and did what I had to do. The work would whisper in my ear after dinner. I feel ya buddy.
It can seem a bit overwhelming at times, not necessarily the work load as much as being worried about missing something, or finding late minute issues that might of got overlooked in the interim. But, this is handled by not rushing things and giving each piece its undivided attention. Funny you just posted yours is the first up for test fire today lol. Just actually loaded it up and was headed outside really glad the weather is cooperating.. I'll touch base with ya this evening..

If only everyday were like today really enjoying running these pistols today, other than a few minor adjustments having a good time.

The one I'm looking most forward to is next. Nighthawk Kestrel in 9x23. Starting with a recoil and mainspring set up like a 45 Cmdr. But, might actually have to delve a little deeper on this one. Running some of the clients reloads, and some Factory Winchester, good case support along with shortening the ejector, and tuning the extractor everything should run fine. Imo if you've never shot 9x23 your missing something..

What a blast..And once I am done tearing everything down, cleaning and inspecting I'll have another day in.. I might make it to those things tonight, but then again I didn't sleep much last night so I just might call it a day.. We'll see if they still call out to me after I take a break for a bit. lol.

Recently had my crown tools re-sharpened guy dine an excellent job and really reasonable as well. This is before lapping and polishing no chatter whatsoever. Couldn't ask for better. But, is a bit time consuming by hand.. View attachment 563651
