I recently acquired this gun built in the Colt Custom Shop by their late shop manager Rich Stoddard for his personal use. It has all his paperwork from Colt. It is built on a .45 ACP 1991 with a Bar Sto barrel, Heinie sights and has some of the nicest blending, finishing and checkering you have ever seen. It was finished in mil-spec parkerizing. It has 2 bushings-a Briley spherical and a Bar Sto. 3.3 lb trigger pull and some sweet cocobolos.

Beautiful. I believe he retired from Colt around 2012 if I remember correctly.

As you may already know, Mr. Stoddard came out of retirement recently, along with a number of other Colt veterans, to work for Standard Manafacturing in New Britian, CT. Standard is currently making some very nice SAAs and 1911s. Mr. Stoddard's employee biography and company photo can be seen here:
