    Interesting, but I don't think I'd pay $1,000 for a SR1911. I just picked one up a few weeks ago and like it but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for one.

    If I have a grand or more to spend on a 1911, it's not going to be a SR1911. I have a regular old SR1911. At $650, I love it. At over $1K for a SR1911 with faux ivory grips and laser engraving? Hell no.

    Would be more apealing if it were actually engraved.
    That does seems to be laser etched of sorts.

    Yeah I don't mind certain things done by machine on a 1911 like frontstrap checkering or slide serrations, but something that is just for looks like engraving should always be done by hand.
