They had it for pretty much a Colt Combat Commander Cabela's price ~$850 out the door - seems like what they are going for around here.Did Cabela's Know what it was? or just sold as a normal Commander?

I had the same thought but when I disassembled it actually has a bevel on that edge and is not clocked - not sure what the purpose is..Watch out for problems caused by a clocking extractor.
Thanks, I sure wish it had someones mark on it, I have a Hoag and Swenson both Combat Commanders and the work looks similar - I am happy regardless I feel it was a hidden gem and glad to have found it!Looks like a great catch for $850!! I'd have grabbed it for that, for sure. Style wise it looks like it could be a King's gun or maybe a Hoag but both marked their builds. The barrel positioner looks very similar to the one in my King's/Capone built '48 Colt-
