I stopped by the Cabela's and found this Colt CC in the Gun Library I couldn't resist taking it home and the wife was encouraging me so ...
I was excited when I first saw it, as it is hard chromed with square checked trigger and front strap checkering looked like my Swenson and it has the “barrel positioner” - but no Swenson markings...
The other noticeable parts are the Kings - safety, slide stop, trigger shoe and hardball sights.
Upon farther inspection the barrel has been welded up all around for a refit, locks up tight!
Anyway here are some pics, I'm hoping someone might have some inkling of who might have done the work Serial # look up is 1974 -
