    Weird help needed:

Every time we get in the car, my wife's phone will let her know about how long it would take her to get home. Automatically without her requesting it.

I want that functionality on my phone.

I think its with Apple Maps not with Google Maps but I may be wrong.

I've tried setting it up with Google maps but no luck.

    Anyone have any input?

Look in your “settings” to see if “Google Maps” has been uploaded.
If not, go to “apps”, find and upload “Google Maps”.
There should be a tutorial, or setting allowing activating that function.

If that fails- give phone to grandchild and ask them to do it.

You will also have to go into settings an enable the location setting.

It's neither Guugul or Apfel that does that.

These people should be able to help you out...

It has to do with the blue tooth connectivity with the vehicle. My iPhone only does it when in the vehicle the phone blue tooth connects to.

I find the Waze Ap helpful. Tells you where the cops are, where construction is, where there’s accidents, road hazards, any kind of delays, alternate routes. It’s two way interactive so users in your area are providing up-to-the-minute status. You can elect to participate or just read the reports. Also gives average speeds on the roadways from Waze users. It can also use Bluetooth so you can get audio warnings of accidents ahead of you, on your route, to allow you to bypass them. Tells you when traffic is slow or stopped.

Your location setting would have to be on and I hate that. This is coming from the guy that thinks it's fun to race the GPS predicted time so I'm not really any help. It's more of a challenge than information.

This is correct. The feature is automoatic with iPhones and Apple Maps. The software parses the home address you have in your contacts, with the map data it "assumes" is your place of work (the physical location your phone travels to, stops at, and spend a lot of time at each day). The math is run ever time the phone detects a connection to a vehicle bluetooth device.

That shows a lack of training, and is the result of ignoring several of the Girlfriend Safety Rules.

And when carrying an iPhone in Condition One, it is your duty to make sure that the safety is on:
