    I'm practicing on some newer quarters to get a radius on them without marring the face... then onto boring an oval to better match the grip surface.

    Those look awesome. One of these days I need to get something done with these scales in thin profile.

    I suggested that to the customer. He wanted flat quarters. If you do a project with the radius quarters, I would love to see a picture.

    Beautiful grain, and I love the 1911 quarters as medallions. Very nice work.

    Yep. Spalted Maple and they have been laying around here for a couple years just drying out more.
