    The democratic party has threatened legislators with cutting off re-election funding if they vote to approve Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.

    Influencing/threatening legislation? If the adverse approach is monetarily rewarding a certain vote? Isn't this against the law?

    On the surface you are right!

    But look below the surface, and you have an organized group bribing/threatening a vote. I know the republicans killed Darryl Glenn's Senate bid by withholding election funding because he was "To Conservative".

    I don't think so. The DNC and GOP have a function of promoting their respective party's ideology and platforms. If the DNC says that voting for Gorsuch's doesn't fit those, then by all means they can withhold donated money.
