I've kinda been wanting a CZ 75 D PCR and was stoked when I saw they were making new 50th anniversary editions this year

For the most part, older stock of CZ 75 compacts has been drying up a lot over the last 12-18 months, and what was once a gun in the $500 range, the low inventory across retailers has sent that gun in the $720 range.

While looking for any good deals, I saw CZ was doing a 50th anniversary model. I thought that could be a winner......and then I saw the pictures of it. I don't know what CZ was thinking with the lettering. They don't even say that all of that mess is engraved....they just call it a "marking". o_O

I think these ugly things will eventually get marked down (maybe even under $500) because they look like caca (IMO).

I looked for a PCR but decided on another CZ instead. What I like about my P-01 is it's clean exterior simplicity. It's also just the right size for carry, relatively light weight and a great shooter.

I have one of those anniversary editions. They are good as is the way Sig put them out.

However, some companies (Palmetto State Armory) decided to engrave them with "40th anniversary", and the "1 of 2000) on the slide.

The problem was (and why 2000 people were ticked off) was because all two thousand they sold all said "1 of 2000). :poop:
