Thanks to, and God bless all who have laid down there live's to protect the right of the folks who honor them, as well as those who so carelessly ignore them, and are so willing to so easily give them up.
I only hope that someday they will realize how precious the
freedoms that were gained are, and that brave men and women in our countries history gave up their lives so that we can sleep at night, and enjoy the peace gained by their sacrifice.

I have never served. I have family that did and my nephew still does. I hold the upmost respect for and honor all of the men and women past and present. Selflessness, can be hard to find in these times.

It's a shame that Memorial Day is just "another" day to some. It is a day to thank all those who served to keep this great county free. I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day & thank a vet for it!

Memorial Day is for those who served and died. Veterans Day is when ya thank a veteran.

Great sentiment and as a vet I will say there is no need to thank me...a silent thanks or prayer for those who gave their lives in the military is best for me. I am not looking for thanks and acknowledgment my choice I have made in life were mine, and I regret none. Those who gave their lives did so knowingly and openly, that is what every American needs to acknowledge and give thanks for.

Thank you for the reminder of the sacrifice made in defense of our wonderful country and way of life ,defending freedom throughout the world .
In that you choose a Union soldier to express this very moving message from that era , please know that South Carolina celebrated
Confederate Memorial Day on May 10th this year, it’s a state holiday.
God Bless ALL soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice to insure
    Freedom.

    Brought tears to my eyes.
American soldiers are a special breed indeed. Their love of country, unselfishness and courage have kept us free. To all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you.
