The Valor is the flagship but the Valkyrie is a fine offering. They are typically in CCO but I had both of the commanders (9mm and 45). It’s a great gun and now that they are discontinued, they are getting hard to find. Especially the commanders. Nice score!

Thanks
I got it off the Sig Forum of all places. The unfired thing makes me not want to shoot it and I guess I bought it because it’s probably somewhat rare being unfired and in my quick research the commander is not very common.

So the Valkyrie is on par with the Guardian and maybe a tier or so above the Vigil?

Valkyrie was more expensive than stainless Valor because it had more options on it. Both fit to the same standards/quality.

I would not consider it a collectible that will go up in price if not shot… too recent of a production and variety of 1911 models keeps growing. It will keep good value if shot and not abused until DW comes out with something similar again

My first thought was to send it off to that guy who does the battle worn finishes for Nighthawk and then I realized that the Valkyrie is potentially unfired and I thought maybe collectible but now I’m just going to break her in as hard as 40 cent per round will allow.

I got a Valkyrie 45, Specialist and Valor both in 9 mm . One of them if not all of them go with me to the range weekly . They all shoot lights out and too much fun to just leave in my safe . I do try to rotate them each week , going to be adding a valor 45 to my collection eventually and that should do it with the DW’s although a Kodiak might also find its way into the safe . Every gun I have I shoot regularly eventually I will find the right one to sit around unfired and make its way to the grand kids someday. But unless is something really special and super expensive I will find myself shooting it .

You did good, assuming price. I have, rather let me say HAD, as my lovely wife decided it was hers ;) , Having (2) Government Valors, 9 & 45, and a 9mm Vigil commander, I feel like to me the Valkyrie may be my favorite. Sure wish I could run across another.

I bought a 9 mm Valkyrie Commander a couple years ago. Shoots great, haven't actually carries it yet. Also have a lt wt Wiley Clapp Commander in .45. The 9 is more pleasant to shoot than the 45.
