I have been enamored with this model for some time. And have full intention of making it my new EDC. It is the Sig P225 A1 9mm. I went for the classic model with wood grips which I find appealing. It comes with sig night sights, SRT trigger and a nicely checkered front strap.
It is a single stack 8 + 1 capacity 9mm which is fine with me. Since I usually carry an HK P7 9mm which is the same capacity. I always carry an extra mag so this should be a similar set up for me. Hopefully it should arrive next week sometime. I will post a nice report on it when I get a chance to shoot it. This is a genric internet pic of the exact model I ordered.

Congrats. That will serve you nicely. I've got the performance center shield which I love but thinking about a conceal double action gun lately. Put a couple hundred rounds and let us know how she does.

Man that thing looks great. I love an SRT, outside of our 1911s my favorite trigger.

    Any update on the gun?

I just ordered the exact same gun today. Should arrive by the end of the week hopefully. I'll be sure and post a detailed review. I've had the old Sig P6 models in the past and that gun just feel like a handshake from an old friend to me. However, the guns were usually well-worn. They tended to need new springs and their finish was worn, the sights were mediocre, the trigger was a little heavy, and Sig would not service them. I always wanted to have one refinished and upgraded, but the cost got prohibitive. So I'm hoping these new P225s feel as good as the old P6 gun.

Man, I like Sigs. I have a Nytron that runs great for me. It needs a few cool upgrades, but for an out of the box shooter, it has been more than adequate. Good luck with it.

One of my future buys will be a Sig SAO.

just saw the new sig p226 with the romeo rmr mounted. nice piece if you like red dots.

I am not sure if I will take to them yet. I have a p320 with a red dot. it is nice. I still prefer the irons sights--for now

This P225 reminds me of the P239. A very great carry and a wonderful shooter. The SRT enhancement will be wonderful.

Thanks FM. Great pistol, just never could shoot the Sig trigger worth a piss. Not an issue with the platform, just me
