As others here have mentioned, Kimber's base models are well made and great values, however I feel there are much better choices above $1000. Kimbers in this price range are merely base models with some cosmetic enhancements that add nothing to performance or reliability. Not bashing Kimber's, I have owned several and still have my two-tone Custom II that I really like. It's all business, sexy, well made and accurate!
