Congrats, I have been looking for one of those, can't find it, I was negative about Kimbers too, till a friend bought a 3" and a 5" both worked perfect, I went and picked a Custom II, works great.

pushing 4 years, really necro-posting, while acceptable if a worthwhile topic, is in poor taste. I'm not a moderator, just a member but-- really?

I don't hate Kimber. Have had several. Still have one. Will never buy another. Experience.

As others here have mentioned, Kimber's base models are well made and great values, however I feel there are much better choices above $1000. Kimbers in this price range are merely base models with some cosmetic enhancements that add nothing to performance or reliability. Not bashing Kimber's, I have owned several and still have my two-tone Custom II that I really like. It's all business, sexy, well made and accurate!
