Haha. I think I figured it out on another post. I believe it’s 2009.

For a small fee Ed Brown will mail you a letter of authenticity with all the build stats. Great for resale value!

E-mail Ed Brown they can tell you. Or if you want to get fancy( I did) for like $25 they will send you a certificate and history of the gun. It will come in very handy if you go to sell it. Probably get you a few more $$$.

Thanks guys. I will probably just pay the 25 bucks and get the letter. I traded for it with no bag no original anything. It’s in rough shape cosmetically but feels butter smooth on the slide. I’d love to send it back and get it refinished but I’m kind of torn.

Also remember Ed Brown warrantees the GUN for life. Not just the first owner. As long as no other "Smith" messes with it.

Brown does have a very reasonable priced rebuild program. Meanwhile I'd try to find an original bag just to have the set complete.

Yeah the last owner didn’t carry it and shot it just a few times. The original owner was a police chief in Kentucky who’s wife bought for him as his carry weapon. I also spent the 25 dollars and currently waiting for my paper!

Actually, Ed Brown just started a free service where you register your pistol with them and they will email you the date it entered their inventory. Mine was born on 10-03-2017.

They were well known for carrying the Coronavirus back then. Sell it quickly to avoid dying from it.
Going rate is about tree-fiddy. I'll pay an extra $25 because I'm a nice guy.
