I know, I know. Same holsters, just different side of the body. More curious who my fellow southpaws are, and if (I'm a 2017 join date newbie here) they are ever offered in the classifieds. Also, for those of you that do have them, do they take into consideration the safety when they make the LH molded holsters?

Pennywise, know Matt personally, one hell of a guy and does extremely great work. Have 2 holsters, a couple of mag hosters and gun belt. Tell him Bernie sent ya. Everything is custom.

So as I usually don't mind holster wear on my weapons, I don't think too hard on what materials they're made from. I like an honest wear on a blued gun....just do. That being said my latest purchase has a black duracoat over stainless...I don't want that too worn. And I may be jinxing myself here, but I might have a brand new Dan Wesson Valor in duty coat come the end of today...again one I would want to take care of the finish.

If you are willing to wait, this is my most comfortable IWB holster and I own a MS Criterion that a lot of people like. It is in horse leather.

OK so I have emailed Paul, asked him to call me so I can order a holster.

Next question: Anyone of significant girth here? I can't be the only chubby guy....

What style do you find concealable and comfortable? I really like the convertible, but when spending the money I like to get all my info first to attempt to make the correct choice.

So thanks you bunch of non-lefties. I need to know your belt size now...LOL

While not as sexy as some of the PM's wheels has sent me, functionality-wise it looks outstanding. My wife would love the price too...she doesn't comprehend me putting back $250 for a holster...I explained to her you don't park your Porshe in front of your house, you keep it nice and safe in the garage.

So Ive spoken on the phone with Carl, Paul, and Nate. The first two each offer a convertible IWB/OWB. That's nice. They also both offer matching belts...again a big plus. Cost however is up there in the $250+ range. Nate is very cost effective, and the bigger boys all claim the comfort is there...IWB only. He also has a 2 week turn-around on my preferred ostrich style of holster.

I appreciate all the feedback (even you skinny kid Kip ) and look forward to more input. I trust you guys more than some store that is making money pushing a product!

Thanks Wheels, and that would be the DeSantis Mad Max for 1911's. Can find them on FleaBay or Amazon for $60 (+/-).

They are not the same as a Milt Sparks VM2, but pretty close for the money and wait time. I own both the VM2 and the Mad Max. I cannot say which I prefer.

UPDATE: I just seen that they are making a thumb break version of this holster. I've gotta get one to take a look at it . . . . .
