Left Handers Unite!!! Southpaw holster recomendations

Another lefty here... Don't make the same mistake I did by just finding a full size 5" barrel length lefty holster, and buying it on impulse. The 1911 will fit, well sort of, but it's not exactly right.

I have a good friend and member of my Masonic lodge who does leather work as a hobby, and he's hand making me a customized left handed 1911 belt holster. I just pay him for the material, and it's a deal. I can't wait!

He also can tell you the name of the comfy holster that is like a Milt Sparks VM2 but about half the price.
Nobody digs up better deals than Curly AKA Zoidmiester.

BTW, I am in a local ammo "weight loss" competition. I am officially under 300# stones as of yesterday's weigh in . . . . .

K this made me spit out coffee.

While not as sexy as some of the PM's wheels has sent me, functionality-wise it looks outstanding. My wife would love the price too...she doesn't comprehend me putting back $250 for a holster...I explained to her you don't park your Porshe in front of your house, you keep it nice and safe in the garage.

So Ive spoken on the phone with Carl, Paul, and Nate. The first two each offer a convertible IWB/OWB. That's nice. They also both offer matching belts...again a big plus. Cost however is up there in the $250+ range. Nate is very cost effective, and the bigger boys all claim the comfort is there...IWB only. He also has a 2 week turn-around on my preferred ostrich style of holster.

I appreciate all the feedback (even you skinny kid Kip ) and look forward to more input. I trust you guys more than some store that is making money pushing a product!

They are not the same as a Milt Sparks VM2, but pretty close for the money and wait time. I own both the VM2 and the Mad Max. I cannot say which I prefer.

UPDATE: I just seen that they are making a thumb break version of this holster. I've gotta get one to take a look at it . . . . .

I can't find any LH. Where did you get this photo?

And I also can't find it LH anywhere other than there website. Its almost 100 from them...maybe more after shipping. For that kinda money I think Paul will be making me one!
