I carry a Pro Operator much of the time, though a red dot glock has taken over as of late, as we are starting to switch to that.

I am only allowed to carry a 1911 during training/classroom/admin days. I carry a 5" Ed Brown .45 that I qualified with. Regular duty gun is a Sig P229 .40.

I believe in 1911 diversity. I carry one of eleven Baers, Nighthawks, Wilsons, Alchemys, a Colt, a SA, and an even an STI--one at a time. Each week one comes out, chosen randomly from the safe.

My latest two:

ACW Prime Elite

And a Nighthawk TRS

Current duty guns. I'm waiting on my railed, blacked out, IOS cut Firehawk with front serrations to be done then that'll more than likely take over as the primary.

Just find a smith to do this to one of your 1911's:

I feel fortunate to be able to carry a 1911, but the truth is, more modern guns are absolutely a better choice across the board for most people. Heresy, I know.
