That's a great deal and a Damn fine looking two/tone. If it was 9mm or 38S I would have grabbed it.

That’s a “no reserve” auction. A thousand dollar opening bid could buy that one, and THAT would be a steal.
this is one of my pet peeves and it aggravates me.
A ‘no reserve’ auction in my mind should start at one penny and the highest bid wins. To have a starting bid of $1000 in my mind that IS a reserve. Can I bid lower than $1000? No I can’t. So to me that is the reserve whether hidden or not.
Just irks me when they do that and say that.

I agree, but in the few times I’ve been on GB lately, it seems like every auction I look at is a true reserve action. This one kind of surprised me.

GB doesn’t charge for a high “reserve like opening bid.” They do charge for a reserve Price even if it doesn’t sell.
I too prefer the penny auctions.
