Quick range trip today, perfect early fall weather and nary a soul in sight.

Only fired 120 rounds today, but made them count, keeping it basic and steady.

Fired 100 rounds of Federal 230 gr FMJ and 20 rounds of Sig 230 Gr JHP.

All mags and ammo combos worked as expected, and this Bear has been like an AK-47 in how it just thumps along with no drama!

This is my favorite defensive carry pistol, and I'm just getting started, as the total round count is just at 1100 rounds and change.

That sounds like a good, fun range day- I usually fire 100 rounds when I go. Very stress relieving-
100 rounds is the very minimum that I fire through a pistol at a range session, but I was traveling light, ha!
I also shot a S&W revolver that day, so.. between the two handguns, it was a nice session.

I sort of have one. I have a CT Brian built on a naked Bear slide and frame. Tim did all the work including the slide cuts, checkering, serrations on the rear of the slide etc. It's a tack driver. I sold it once to a friend and then got it back. He built me two over the years. The other was a Combat Commander that I traded off in the worst trade I have ever made in my collecting history. Live and learn!

You will love this! I shot mine today, and it hummed right along🤠
This one is a 2016 gun that has lived its life in the safe... it appears the original CLP is still on it.. I'm planning on giving it a fresh coat of CLP and then start the break in... Thanks!

Does your les Baer fit into 1911 holsters? I had one a while back and it wouldn’t fit into any standard 1911 holster. I sold it on here not long ago.
I had a WICKED tough break-in for a Milt Sparks SSII holster. Phew, that thing was tight! I put the pistol in wax paper and insert it into the holster and leave it that way overnight or longer.... and then wear it and work it and wear it and work it...

The MS Summer Spec II is NOW one of my best holsters, but it took some breaking in, likely due to the oversize dimensions of a Les Baer?

My TT Gunleather IWB was actually perfectly fit and I wonder if Tim at TT knows the LB is funky and a lil' chunkier and allows a slight bit of "looser" boning or fit? (I did specific this holster was for a Les Baer)

Anyhow, I don't think the frame dimensions on my Gunsite model are too far from "standard" size, as the aftermarket grips that I installed also fill the grip frame space perfectly, and not in the awkward fit that I've seen in some models/years of Les Baer pistols.
