How about posting some pictures you took at targets from a range trip. Give a little info - Gun you used, distance and anything else you want us to know about!

I'll start with a pic of my target when I qualified this past June. I'm a retired LEO so I have to qualify every year to keep my carry privileges. This was from a 36 round, timed combat course. Distances ranged from 7 to 25 yards. I was shooting my Springfield RO with 115 gr. FMJ. FYI, the 4 shoots to the head isn't me being cute - It's from shooting 2 rounds, 1 center mass followed by 1 to the head. 3 seconds to shoot 2 rounds from holstered at 7 yards (body armor drill). Had to do that one 4 times. Everything starts from holstered and includes standard 2-hand/strong hand grip, strong hand only, weak hand only. Starting a 7 yards and working your way out to 25 yards.

1st run on POST recert. 1 to 25 yards. Criteria was all shots had to be identifiable to be counted. Couldn't just drill the center of the target into a big hole. Bottom 3 were on a timed double-feed clearance stage at 15 yds where I almost ran out of time. 3 out of 13 made it on the first attempt. 8 of the remaining 10 on the second. 2 went home. Glock 22

50 rds., 25 yds. freestyle, 2.5 minute time limit. A "precision exercise".

9mm 1911, 5-10 rd. magazines. Object of drill; shoot all "A's" as quick as possible.
Requires focus and discipline to not rush a shot/stay focused for all 50 rds.

A pic I've gotten from CCS when they did my Delta

I thought it wasn't their best day. The gun was capable of much better. Here was mine
    not exceptional either, but better.

    9mm Wilson, 5", Protector...my carry gun.

I fired 3 basic fundamental Tactical Drills. A zone hits are zero in ICE qual target. All at 8 yds.
Practice for my buddy match this week. Each shot "overtime" add (-1).

    1. Draw fire 2 rds 2.3 sec I fired about 30 rds.
    2. Draw fire 8 rds 5.0 sec I fired about 48 rds
    3. Draw Fire 4 ( gun goes to slide lock )...speed reload fire 4 more rds 7.3 sec / I fired about 72 rds ....

All my times were under par or max time. I missed 2 shots ..you can see in red ( both in ( -1 ) zone ....( face is -1 also in my system / point is to shoot center chest. ) . Next outline is -2 - head, shoulders, legs, etc... / outside silhouette but on paper is -3 / off paper is -5.

Bulls eye accuracy is not the goal...A zone shot, even on edges, is a good shot if its under par time. We draw from standard carry rigs....mine is an IWB, Kramer leather, with forward FBI tilt. I would like it to be tighter...but at 68 yrs old...and bad eyes, waiting on cataract surgery on both eyes in about 7 weeks ...its a good day if I am 92% or better.../ I change course of fire every week...and my avg for 2018 is about 94.6 ..../ ...good enough for an old retired guy...
