Try the Eagle Rare. Upper shelf from Buffalo Trace. They have a 17 year Eagle Rare as well...
In any caliber that is a beautiful piece of Art the metals & wood oh hell do not get me started LOL. The henry is just as American as a gun can get it's like riding an Indian Motorcycle well
it's like shooting a legend.
Now I want one 2.
An Indian? I heard that! Fine bikes. Yeah, been looking it over and this is a well made gun with much attention to detail. I want another one in .357. And one in .44 Mag. and another one ..like in my signature. One more is never enough, right?
Fast, LIGHT, handy. Classic.
I don't even want to think about how much money I spent on .22LR ammo thanks to my Henry .22!
They are sweet little guns.
I ended up giving it to a buddy for his son's first gun and ,though I miss it, he still shoots the heck out of it so I'm happy to help pass on the addiction.
But I wouldn't mind a .22WMR next...
And holds their value
Good man. He will remember that.
I also would like a lever action 22 mag .
Man O man I used to complain when they cost $3.75 a box
Lookie at this.https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ammunition/rimfire/.22-magnum/?cgid=494
Cheaper than Dirt isn’t, never is
4 pages already, think Addicts like lever guns? I have a fair number now, all have a role and all are well loved. I have an old pre safety Rossi 92 trapper in 357 that is my truck gun. I have Uberti and Winchester (Miroku) 1873s in 45 Colt that are CAS guns. I have a Henry Big Boy steel in 44 mag with an Aimpoint on it that is my “what the hell is going on out there?” gun (if you have dogs and live in the country, you know what I’m talking about). I have a pre 64 Winchester 94 that was my dad’s and hangs in a place of honor on my wall. And I have a Henry 22 Frontier for plinking and vermin.
I just attended a gun show (a futile attempt to find some Federal large pistol primers). I saw quite a few nice old lever guns. People are in such a frenzy to buy semi autos, the prices on the lever actions wasn’t too crazy.
Lol, ain't that right! I bought 1600 rounds of Federal target at .06 per round this weekend.
@LPRoad , post up some pics of your lever guns when you get time.
Not exactly glamour shots by Deb, but you get what you pay for
I got a model 89 on order, should be a sweet little pistol caliber lever with a 2.5x Luepold scout scope on top
Very nice! A BHA levergun is on my wish list, just never seem to have the scratch
Hopefully here by Christmas, it will be my one really nice rifle
After owning quite a few different levers I have always liked 94s,took my first deer with a 94 30-30 and am still amazed at the level of overkill a 150 g can have but I’m obsessed with having companion pieces so it limits things somewhat.Heres two I settled on,for now.
I've wanted a Savage '99 since I first saw Joe Kidd 40 years ago.
About 6 years back I got one...
Here's the story of how I got it...
Perfect! Thanks. On and by the wood pile! On the rack with cowboy hats.
Looking for stuff on Cheaper than Dirt is your first mistake.
