I'm torn between those two as well!

Mainly because I'm not sure if I could IWB carry a TLR-3 on a lightweight champion. I've never seen a IWB setup for that.

Since no has actually posted a Commander or LW Commander, and the OP titled the thread as such...thought I'd post mine.
There's only one Commander...and Colt is the only that makes it.

    Yes I know, picky picky...

I have a Springfield LW Compact that is getting a few tweaks.
Lightweight Officer frame, 4" slide/barrel,.....should be a great carry.

    Thanks Jess,........

I was asked what the Compact is.
Basically Springfield made some in the early Nineties. They used a Officer size frame
with a 4" Champion slide. The first run models were standard bushing/barrel set ups.
Springfield did a late Nineties ru, which is what mine is, with bushingless barrels.

Mine is sitting at Chuck Rogers place, waiting it's turn in line for a make over!
    Here's a before pic,.......

    Kimber Pro Carry

This Pro Carry is my daily carry, light weight commander sized, 1911. It was carried for several years by a police officer before I acquired it.

    Dependable, reliable, straight shooting pistol.
