Most here don't care for Fusion, and that's cool. Your opinion. But tell me if this post by the one and only is simply a slap in the face of a man that he obviously could care less for. Is it just me or is the intention here what it seems to be?

So you see it the way I do?

I also want to be clear in that I am not trying to stir up anything between the two sites. It just irks me when "professionals" have agendas and set out to smear others, and of course, in this case, there will be NO repercussions of any sort.

I don't know the back end with whatever happened with Severns or Fusion, I'm tired of cross-talking 1911 forum drama.

My agenda: To not let either one of them (BS or DS) touch a pistol of mine.

    When it comes to tos.......

An old saying comes to mind,"I USED TO BE DISGUSTED,BUT NOW I'M JUST AMUSED.

I really could care less about that place anymore. :rolleyes2:
I've been over there maybe 3 times since I got banned and it just seems very "low rent" to me now.

Kinda the way I feel about "THE HIGH ROAD" website.

When a smith works on a pistol isnt it usualy to improve upon and customise it? Am I missing something?

absolutely it is. The perception I have is simply that it is posted in BS's space to show him he (DS) could make it better than he (BS) did.

I may be way off base but I don't think it was done this way as a kind and well-meaning gesture. Again, I could be wrong.

I wouldn't read too much into it. DS has posted pics of many different makes of guns he has worked on in their subforum, including Baer. I'm not defending the guy as I have no bias or loyalty to him, just sayin.

There are LOTS of posts over there by Fusion. If I had put that many pics up when I was really active over there I would have been banned long ago.

I might be really missing the picture here, but is this what he did? He took a frame that someone sells and built a pistol out of it? The frame was a
Fusion Firearms Hunter Tactical carbon frame:
    1) .250 Radius grip safety cut
    2) Undercut high grip trigger guard
    3) Beveled magazine well
    4) 30 LPI front strap checkering
    5) Tactical accessory rail
    6) Machined for Ramped barrel (Fusion, Nowlin, Wilson cut)
    7) Plunger tube installed
    8) Ejector installed
    9) Matte finished bead blasted
    10) Precision cut slide rails after heat-treat to eliminate rail distortion from heat-treat processes
    11) All heat-treatments complete
    12) Carbon steel in the white
    13) Bluing Add $40.00
    14) Mil Spec. Parkerizing Add $55.00

    To which he:
    Mods incorporated:

•Hard-fit, oversize, Wilson-Nowlin ramped barrel with 45-degree, flush muzzle crown. Chambered in 45acp.
•Tool steel fire control group (no MIM!) featuring a Nastoff-style hammer, and 3.75# trigger pull.
•EGW tool steel, single-sided thumb safety.
•EGW gunsmith-fit thick-flange barrel bushing and long recoil spring plug.
    •Modest dehorning treatment.
•Hard Hat treated, real Novak black iron rear sight. Love those Novaks...
•Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight of correct height to ensure POA=POI.
    •Reliability Package.
    •G-10 Grips.
•Hard Hat Treatment of entire weapon.

Or did he take a completed handgun from Fusion and redo it?

DS states in the first paragraph that it was built off of a hunter tactical base and his goal was to take a factory fusion to a higher level. So built of a completed gun, not just a frame kit.

Okay, I was not sure if base meant a built gun of the frame, base of a gun. Now I understand thanks.

So what is the problem ? A smith takes a gun and improves it . That's what Chuck did with my Springer. Joe is doing it with Derek's Colt . Am I missing something ?

Wade i think there is more to it. I have seen a history of posts over in that section from one to the other or in reference to the product that wasn't necessarily nice and flattering by one particular person. One who will never suffer any consequences for his actions or words.

Let me put it this would be like Chuck Rogers taking one of Joe Chambers' signature pistols reference to the "Black" series Fusion has mentioned starting) and, for the fun of it, saying he could make it tighter, more accurate and basically better...all on an open forum. To ME, that is a mockery and slap in the face. But as I have said, maybe it's just me and my perception of the whole thing.
