I am not normally a big poster on the forum. I buy and sell here from time to time but I visit every day at least once .

One year ago I lost my wife to cancer suddenly and my life changed in a heartbeat .I went from a retirement move to Utah and volunteering with the love of my life doing what we loved to being alone for the first time in a long time.

During the roughest time in my life, many members here on the forum reached out with love and support that really helped.

I want to say thank you for all the prayers and thought sent my way . The out pouring of concern helped me maintain my sanity and survive.

I'm no fan of the "wonderful circle of life"- however it's the only game in town.

    Sorry for your loss.
I'm certain that the last thing your wife would want- is for you to be miserable.
Celebrate her life and your memories.
Ask God for the strength to continue. Forward.

    My deepest sympathies brother.

I lost my mom when I was a young boy and it was through friends, hobbies and my church that I got through it all. We're all here for ya!

Sorry for your loss. There is only one way to go though. That’s forward. Your life was meant to move on a bit farther than hers, but I know she wouldn’t have wanted you to stop. Keep moving forward and help others do the same. Stick with us we’ll drag down with us, or help carry you. God bless you.

The metaphor, This too will pass (sucks). But always someone has to say it to you and that sucks also. God bless you on your tough journey. As we get older, life gets somewhat scary.

    Very sorry for your loss.
I lost my mom to an aneurism of the brain very sudden. Lost a sister to cancer. She fought for a year like a tiger. Lost the battle. Lost my dad to heart problems. The saying time heals is a lie. If does not heal. What it does is allow you to put those thoughts and feelings in a back closet of your brain. Situations and sights and smells will bring them out. Time allows you to put them back into the closet and not allow you to founder in that grief.

You will think of her, but not get lost. It's not easy. But in time you will be able to move forward.

    Very sorry for your loss...
I don't think pain like that ever really goes away.
It gets pushed back by the loving memories that eventually make their way to the surface and take over.

    GOD Bless ....
