Looking for thoughts and recommendations on pepper / tear gas spray:
    - is Mace still good or there are much better brands out there now?
    - any recommendations on specific models that fit in a pocket?
    - spray vs. gel, what is easier to use?
    - any advantages to those pepper spray and tier gas combinations?

    Thanks in advance

Freeze +p. Absolutely horrible. Gel is better for collateral IMO. It’s one of the combos. None are 100% effective, but the capsicum don’t seem to affect as consistently.

Thanks . Looking specifically for solutions that could be used single handed. Napalm would require a lighter in the supporting hand

I used to get a free Kimber Pepper Blaster every year. They're easy to carry and fortunately that's as far as my real world trial has taken me.

I carry Saber Red 3 in one police strength. Pepper spray, tear gas and UV dye. Luckily I've never had to use it but it's piece of mind when a knife or gun is not an option.

FOX Labs works like a charm. I give them out as Christmas gifts every year.

We carried Fox. 5 million Scoville heat units. I used it several times with good results. I think it is a great tool because it is considered a lower level of force than any hands on technique, because it’s effects wear off. Thus, a lower level of justification is required. I still make sure my wife and daughters are carrying a fresh can. I would suggest you get a can similar in size to that a officer would carry. You want enough volume that you can saturate several assailants if need be. The little cans with key chain rings have short, narrow streams.

Ditto to what Old Sea Dragon said. It will also put your partner in blue out of action very quickly, which is not good when you are hands on with four suspects. I'm not telling, so don't ask me how I know!

I carry Kimber Pepper Blaster or Mace brand 3-way when I take public transit (Light rail). No CCW. But the best stuff ever made I can attest to.(former LE & Mil) was called INFERNO. Sold by Cold teel. They took it off the market and I can't find out for sure if it ever came back by another name. I've had most of them but this concoction was like a Road flare in your face and breathing Ammonia. The stuff got to you just empting a can with the wind going away from you. Why do they always have to get rid of the GOOD stuff. Damn it! I have 1 can left. Saving it for a Peace Rally.
