    .22 Ward Western Field

    I am looking for a .22 (Montgomery)Ward Western Field / Stevens model 85 Automatic Or Bolt Action with a (Factory) clip. if you have one send photos .

    No ! this is not a sell I am looking for it as it was "Just Like" the my Grand Pa Had . Mine was Stolen and I Would like to acquire another one Just like it . Mine has never been found to date .

    I had the tube fed model and it was one of the best .22 rifles I have ever owned. Good luck to you. I'll keep you in mind as I look over the racks at shops.

    I see lots with tube mags, not many with the removable box mags.

    I'll keep an eye open though.

    My shop has a Stevens 87-T.

    Just came in.It has the same fluted receiver but is a tube fed model.I believe that Stevens made those for WesternField/Monty Ward.
    The one we got has a poly/plastic stock. VERY UGLY! :eek:

    I will try to keep an eye out for one of those for you.
    We get a LOT of old .22 rifles and bolt action Shotguns in from time to time.

    Hmmme Not seen one with a poly/plastic stock. Most have the wood ones that are old have wood stocks.

    Western Field/Montgomery Ward also made or had made a .22 in a carbine size that looks like the one I posted but shorter and with Military flip sites on the rear and the front site has a pin with a hood over it .

    Still looking for one ;(

    I took a couple of pics with my phone today.If I can get them to upload I will post or send as a pm to you.

    If I can't can't get them to upload,I will take a camera to the shop next Saturday when I go in.
