I'm building a 1911 for my son for a graduation present for his upcoming graduation from the US Naval Academy. I've fitted the slide to the frame, and have fitted the barrel, barrel bushing and trigger. I need to install the plunger tube and really don't want to buy the tool for that for what looks like a 10 minute job and a one time use. If anyone has one they would be willing to borrow or rent me, I would certainly pay shipping and whatever terms we agree on.

    Thank you!

I have one I ordered yesterday and it says it shipped... or at least the tracking number has been issued. I don't expect to get it for a few days but if you don't locate another one I can send it when it gets here. I won't need it for a while. Just pay to ship it back.

I'll watch this thread and PM you when it arrives if no one else has helped you out.

Jfbong1911...Ethan loaned me his and I got the plunger tube on.

Thank you all who helped or were willing to. I greatly appreciate it. I'm pretty sure I'm at the point that I can just put it all together now and there's not any fitting left.
