Hello I am looking at a 1945 GOV issues US Army 1911 Remington manufactured in Syracuse NY, it’s clean and I was just wondering what it’s worth ? Also what is the chance it was used in a ww2 I know it may be a stupid question just trying to figure out the history of a gun this old? All help welcome thank yoU

Nice looking Rand. Most likely has been refinished. Decent piece of history right there. Having been made in 1945 lessens the chance that it saw much, if any, action vs. one made in 1943 or 1944.

Not enough gun in the photo to give a good opinion of value, but I wouldn't feel bad starting at $1,250 for that gun. The values that @retrieverman quoted are possible if that finish can be proven to be original.
