I want to have a low profile magwell installed on a Dan Wesson Valor. Can anyone suggest a good smith to send it to?

I watched a video on Youtube and did it myself. It really is pretty easy, and for the inexperienced such as myself, took about 30 minutes.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "low profile" magwell? Thanks.

That's a standard profile, and I agree with @monadh , you can do it yourself.

Yes I see that now. Going to order from Wilson Combat unless Wesson has one. On 1911 Forum someone suggested Chen Magwells but they cut the frame to lower the profile and use a commander size Main Spring which I don’t want to do.

Dan Wesson has a great one piece magwell, stainless or duty treat.

Check Ed Brown and Smith and Alexander for additional options.

Stan Chen would require a Smith and frame modifications.

Stan chen magwell is one of the most low profile magwells and it doesn't extend the grip. Although it would require frame modification and different grips panels.

Direct from DW. Or, like others have mentioned, S&A make one that lines up with the slim grips on a Valor.

If you do the Wilson Concealement you pictured, the back two corners of the frame will need some mild work.

ED Brown one piece imo, is about the best value out there. S&A is still hit or miss, Wilson's are fine but more expensive and not as nice as EBs.

I bought one from Dan Wesson for my PM9 and installed it myself. It had to be easy or I couldn't have done it.

If you don't mind where do you find these one piece magwells for DW. All have ever known them to have us the two piece with Allen screw

I’m not aware of a true 1 piece DW. I would go with he the New Ed Brown magwell personally. IMO the best magwell ok market today that doesn’t require frame alternations. And the Checkering matches DW Checkering 25lpi something the NH, S/A and WC don’t.
