Hey all, thought id put this one up in advance, maybe try to drum up some more interest before it officially starts on the 1st.
The last few months have been a lot of combat oriented drills, balance of speed and accuracy, holsters, reloads, higher round counts, which may not work for everyone.

For March, I thought, why not do something simpler, slower, that ANYONE can shoot, ANYWHERE.

So, here it is. The March challenge, will be your best 5 round grouping, at 25 yards/75 feet, with a handgun (preferably a 1911 or 2011 given the site we are on, but doesnt matter).

-The winner will be the tightest grouping achieved, measured from the widest part of the grouping, (EDIT)center to center of the bullet holes. Put a tape measure over your grouping and take a photo for your official submissions.

-All 5 shots are counted in the grouping, no dropped shots.

-Handguns only. No pistol caliber carbines, subgun/brace conversions, buttstocks or anything of that sort.

-Sights are unlimited. Irons, red dots, optics, lasers, all good.

-No ransom rests obviously, but other than that shoot how you want. Supported or unsupported, all good.

-No time limit.

So there it is. Help me get the word out guys, this is as simple a challenge as it gets, and hopefully we can get a lot of entries.

Good simple concept. If this doesn't draw the crowds, I don't know what will. We've got to have some pretty talented bullseye shooters hanging out here.

Does "edge to edge" mean shooting .17HMR will give me an advantage or do you mean like edge to like? 9 o clock edge to 9 o clock edge etc?
The .17 could be an advantage I guess. I suppose itd win vs 9mm if the grouping on-center was the same 😂
Since this is all for fun im hoping we dont have any groupings that close together.

I think we need to limit this to a caliber. Example, 9 or 38 super has a huge advantage of 45 from a bullet diameter standpoint. Either way, I’m game…

Center to center is the most universal way to measure group size.
"Steel" you're doing the leg work on this so your choice ultimately but might be worth consideration.
Cause I'm going to CHEAT and use my 22 bullseye gun other wise LOL
