Made it out today. 18 degrees with a 3 deg windchill. Winter just not quite giving up yet, but I like the cold….way less mud.
I didn’t do too hot with my .45 1911. Groups were in 3-4” range.
Broke out my S&W 44 mag, and gave it 3 tries. I’m not a bench rest shooter, so used my rolled up poncho liner as a rest for my arms and hoped for the best.
This is my deer hunting revolver, so I only have one kind of ammo for it. Hornady 240 gr XTP.
My first group was a 0.946”, but my second group was the best at about
0.701”. Third group went downhill a bit. lol
Haven’t shot it in several years, but the nice thing about it, is it makes a 45 feel like a poodle chootin’ 9mm. 😉
If I can somehow get out next weekend, I will give the Chamber 9mm a try. It should do pretty well with this task.
