Anyone have experience with mecgar 10 found anti-friction 9MM Magazines. How is the quality vs Wilson Combat. Apparently nighthawk custom uses mecgar made mags.

    Thanks

I like MecGar mags more than Wilson.
MecGar makes most of the mags for European pistol manufactures

I've got some Mec-Gar Sig mags that've been going strong for 15 years. Kinda figured their 1911 mags would be good to go too.

^^^^ Same. I've had Sigs for many years and have never had a problem with any of the Mecgars. Greg Cote is a great guy to get them from as well.

Same with my CZ mags, they're always good to go. Just haven't had the CZ mags, as long as the Sigs lol.

No 10 round but I think I'm up to 8 or 10 MecGar 8 round 9 mm mags. All load and feed function fine, smooth as glass. Swapped springs in 4 of them for heavier Wolff springs, so far they work the same as stock not one issue. I have 2 10 round Wilsons and they load a little harder but function the same as the MecGars, not a problem with them either. Two 10 round Tripp Cobramags are pure silk. Nicer looking too.

I don't have experience with the 9mm, but the quality of their .45 mags is tip top. I would suspect the same to be true of their 9mm mags as well. They have become my go to for 1911 mags.

I have never used 1911 magazines by Mecgar. That said, I have several new and used ones that I have tried to use in my CZ's. They suck A$$. Don't fit, don't lock in properly, don't hold the slide back when empty, and don't drop out easily when the mag release button is pressed.
Its possible that it is just me and I have primitive hands or something, but that's my experience so I just don't use them anymore.

Maybe its the CZ and not the MecGars?

I use MecGar mags in my 9mm & .38 sups. I have never had an issue...... can't say the same about some of my Wilsons.

I know that MecGars work well in Sigs. I've just ordered two MecGars for a CZ that I've recently purchased. That may have been a mistake, but they sure are popular with the guys on the CZ forum that I visit. I've never used them in a 1911. . .yet.

I have had great experience with MecGar. I sent 5 mags back that would not slide lock on last round, they sent me 5 new ones without issue. All work great (9mm -9 rounds)
