if this isn't a loaded it sire fulled me.
Thats a Springfield loaded slide on a USGI or Caspian frame (Hard to tell from that picture). Springfield provided the slides through COTS purchase.
That's a Caspian frame SN# MC 18. The same photo is in the book:

Started on the Kimber ICQB project today.
Went to the range today and got some trigger time. The main focus was to help my ffl test some stuff but I snuck the MEUSOC in there. I shot every different type of ammo we could get our hands on. This bad boy ate everything. I didn’t get to take real good pics because well I was handling like 15 different pistols in 3 calibers. But I went 5 for 5 at 100y On steel with a SWC target load! Valor Precision did , just wow, I keep getting impressed over and over and still aint got this thing broke in yet.
