I had planned to send my EMP 9mm in for some mods and follow it with the Loaded Micro .45 to create a semi-matched set, but... the Micro .45 needed some warranty
work, so it got the mods first.

Dave Williams called 2 weeks ago for clarification on the serrations, and told me his guys were already working on it. The anticipation over the past 2 weeks was almost

iPhone pics aren't the best, but I was anxious to share!

So.... how do I apply for membership into COTEFT, and is the initiation scary?

I was hopping you matched the MSH too. Looks great all the way around.

Now, you can't really change your grips.

    Repair Work:
Reamed Barrel & Polished Feed Ramp
    Replaced Extractor
    Modify Ejector

    Custom Modifications:
    1911-A1 Single Side Thumb Safety
    Serrate MSH
    Round Butt
    Serrate Front Strap
    Undercut Front Strap Colt Style
    10-8 Flat Trigger
    4LB Action Job
    Nub Slide Stop FBI Style
Ball Cuts on Slide (to match EMP)
    10-8 U Notch Rear Sight
    Gold Bead front Sight
    Flush Cut & Crown Barrel

The grips are Larry Davidson's 4X4 grips... they're top notch quality and he was a breeze to work with. I highly recommend.

Going to the range today... have been dry firing the past 2 evenings. So far, I LOVE the trigger and I'm really excited to have a front sight I can see without my reading glasses!

    Nice Micro Compact

Melter: I have a Micro Compact on layaway, it will be my EDC. It is a nice pistol that my friend at the shop owned and had a lot of work done on it. Hammer, trigger, beavertail all WC, Trijicon night sights. It is all black and the MSH has the lanyard loop, which I will replace. I would welcome your thoughts on that. I shoot a full size 1911 now and I am excited about getting this one for carry. Can you offer any advice or tips on these guns. Also what holsters, ammo do you recommend ? Thanks for your time.

Had you described the serrations to match the grips to me, I would have smiled nicely and thought, "FUGLY", but they look great. I don't think I have seen anything like them on a 1911 before. Did you send drawings to the SAC or exact specs/measurements, or give them some leeway in the design?
