The Executive Companion (EM) is very comfortable ,and those lower "wings" seem to help with printing, particularity with lighter weight dress pants. The EM wings that help spread out the 'print' also don't move around as easily for me to adjust the holster position. In my case the SSII is much easier to adjust and move around, so is used more.

My EM though lacks the high leather shield in back like SSII has (similar to SS) which keeps the hammer & thumb safety from poking me. However I was just looking at pictures on the website and it appears the new EMs now DO have the shield... I guess my EM might be a early build, or I'm an idiot and this isn't a EM??

I'm attaching a picture of my older EM (?), and a new SSII for comparison.

Thanks - if you had updated EM, would you choose it over a SS2?

I have purchased Milt Sparks leather since the 80's. Milt is gone now but his boy's have kept the business in the same professional manner. I carried a Bruce Nelson (BN55) everyday for 6 yrs before I got another one. if you decide to go with the Milt Sparks leather, I hope you get one in stock. He is behind but worth the wait.

I have several summer specials for different size 1911s, and have used the executive companion for EDCX9 and 1911 commanders. Love both of them, but the executive companion is ultra comfortable. If I had to pick, would be a tough choice between the two. But would probably go with the executive companion. Waiting on one now that I ordered in January…..
