I have written before about my love of Tucker Gun leather holsters. I, of course, have a host of other holsters that I typically cycle these two guns through (VBob & Sig P229 Legion SAO) which are my two primary carry weapons. While the Legion is a bit lighter than the VBob and my vulnerable P320’s are lighter still, I find that the VBob in this Tucker holster is consistently the most comfortable carry I own. Even with the added weight of the full steel frame of the VBob, something about how it carries just feels better. Now to be fair, while both the Legion and the P320 are lighter they are fatter and that is probably the factor here. The slim profile of the 1911 makes it carry so well to me. I think the other factor is the smooth grips on the VBob. The G10’s on the Legion are pretty abrasive and tend to be more noticeable as well as the Ambi safety on it being IMHO too wide. Do you find regardless of other factors you have a gun that just carries more comfortably than others?
