To follow up my thread on ADULT BEVERAGES,I'd thought we talk music.......

I grew up in the '70's listening to a lot of "progressive"rock (aka: prog rock, wuss rock, etc)mainly because most of my friends were music nerds, music students planning careers as professionals playing in orchestras and symphonies.

I play stereo, that's the only instrument that I can handle!

But,over the years, starting when I went on active duty back in '82,my taste in music began to vary.I began to get a taste for METAL.
Iron Maiden,Black Sabbath,AC/DC and lastly,MOTORHEAD were solidly on my play list.

These days, the variety of music I listen to is strange.
    My iPOD has,Tom Waits,Les Claypool/Primus,King Crimson, Hank III,Johnny Cash,Rammstein,and of course,MOTORHEAD on it.
I change the line up weekly.

So what type of music are my fellow Addicts listening to these days?

I have gone through many phases of music in my short life. Grew up with an audiophile dad, so I guess I'm kind of a music nerd. Right now I've really been listening to a lot of Drive By Truckers, Fink, Ryan Bingham, Sabbath, The Grouch etc....

I don't know where to begin... I listen to all things rock/metal/progressive, old and new, I suppose. A few I like the most, Clutch, Primus, Machine Head, Lamb of God, and Megadeth. As for older stuff, I still love some Zeppelin, Kansas, BOC, sooooo many more to name.

Old school mode for me right now. 80's hairbands: Crue, Poison, Jovi, Cinderella, Metallica, GNR. Old school rap, too. NWZ, Digital Underground. OLD Hammer, Biz Markee, Run DMC, even some Eminem and Tupac

Other than that my normal load consists of headbanger heaven.

Iron Maiden an all time favorite. Also, many people forget how awesome Judas Priest was. I was just saying to the wife last night that the early 80's was an incredible time in music. Very underrated.

As far as newer stuff goes. Dream Theater, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Veil Brides etc.
