My new AR

Took a trip down to Bud's in Lexington today. Talked to salesman for about 30 minutes. He said this one would be a good one to learn the platform for the amount of money I wanted to spend. They had an Anderson Arms, DPMS Oracle, and the Sport 2 all for near same price. Got the last one of these they had on the floor. But they had plenty of AR's in stock new and used.

So far I like it pretty well except the grip.Don't care much for the raised place between my fingers. Hope to get it out Friday and put the 200 rounds I bought thru it.

You couldn't have picked a better time to buy while prices are still low. Congrats on your AR15.

Nice!
I build my own, but I think the M&Ps are one of the best bangs for your buck out there.

Or spend a few more dollars and get a really nice grip. I am not a fan of the MOE.

I would suggest a Bravo Company grip. I really like the Mod 3

Ergo grips work for me...
Oh great another site that is gonna hit the wallet.Bunch of nice stuff on there

Shoot it and learn how to tinker with the platform. Guy I work with builds AR's from bare lowers. I am goona get him to show me around the gun.

If you don't roll your own you should look for some ammunition.
When I was there a few weeks ago, the guy told me those were flying off the shelves.

I think the A2 grips are great, but I guess I'm more or less alone in that boat. Even if you don't plan on putting on a sight, you should pick up an A2 carry handle. Shooting Irons with an A2 sight is really the only way to learn the AR IMO. Your mileage may vary.

My $.02 would be for an ERGO grip, especially if you have large hands.
