What would you recommend for a dropped holster for my 1911 (4.25 barrel) - would like it to be USPSA/IDPA legal.

Perhaps something that you find efficient and quick in the draw and isn't super harsh on the firearm itself (Ideally).

    Thanks!

It seems kydex works well for competition for its slick draw and click when secured. So it appears kydex would work better for this type of use (competition).

I meant sort of where the holster is dropped two inches or so past the belt.

Excellent. I see the paddle does say it's compliant with both. The QB doesn't seem to mention.

The blade tech you mentioned seems to be great too. Do you think it's USPSA compliant as well?

I'll do a research of the paddle vs the blade tech you linked above :)
